Glenn Strother
Vice President
With a career in the construction industry spanning more than 30 years, Glenn Strother leads AUI Contractors, based in Fort Worth, as Vice President. Drawing upon his deep expertise in all phases of the construction process, Strother has overseen a range of projects for the company, including civil, utility, highway and commercial buildings. Strother leads the company’s strategic planning initiatives as well as the implementation of its corporate achievement plan (CAP). In 2004, he played an instrumental role in AUI’s acquisition of Pyramid Building Systems. AUI has added approximately $16 million in incremental business in the first 18 months since acquiring Pyramid Building Systems.
For Strother, customer service is much more than a buzz word. It’s about becoming a strategic partner with clients and aligning with their core values. This philosophy has served him well, as AUI has successfully completed projects for nearly every major municipality in North Texas since 1983.
Prior to joining AUI, Strother held several positions at Ed A. Wilson, Inc., based in Fort Worth, from 1978 to 1983, including Field Engineer, Estimator and Project Manager.
Strother is an active member of several professional organizations, including the QUION chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), for which he was past Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He held several positions in the Fort Worth chapter of AGC, before its merger with the Dallas chapter to form QUION, including past activity Chairman, member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Strother also is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), in which he was the past President of the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Nebraska in 1978.
