Matthew Wylie
Director of Commercial Construction Services

Matthew Wylie joined AUI in 2007 as the Director of Commercial Construction Services. As the Director over the Commercial Construction division, Matthew leads AUI’s commercial construction team, which includes Project Managers, Superintendents, Commercial Estimators, and Project Engineers. His focus is to ensure success through relationships with AUI’s stakeholders and striving for unsurpassed quality that will result in repeat clients.

Since graduating from Texas A&M University in 1994 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Matthew has worked with large commercial construction firms including Balfour-Beatty Construction, Austin Commercial, and Manhattan Construction. He has held senior management positions since 2003, with experience in managing regional offices in Dallas and Atlanta, with teams of 20-50 employees.

Matthew is also an accomplished teacher. He has taught numerous classes in varying areas, such as leadership conferences, problem solving courses, and instructional sessions for oral and written communication.

Prior to joining AUI, Wylie has managed a wide variety of projects for a diversified list of clients; a few are Westlake Academy & Municipal Complex, Southwest Airlines Maintenance Hangar Expansion, D/FW Airport Terminal B Expansion & Renovation, CAE Simuflite’s Office Expansion and Training Facilities, and numerous projects for Bank of America throughout the state of Texas.

When Matthew is not at AUI or spending time with his family, he can be found on his motorcycle, mountain bike, or at work in his wood shop.
